sniper Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 Yeah - I felt it. Woke me up, and the whole house was rattling, light fitting was swinging and shelves rattling - it was pretty scary. It was the first time I'd ever felt an earthquake, and it sure was big enough! Quote
mumof4 Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 well, i heard about it from the guy next door this morning.he said the houses were shaking pretty bad, and considering we are terraced, i never woke up!! I didnt got to bed till half 12, and pretty much zonked out and there is a railway track at the bottom of the garden, i remember thinking at some point last night that a train must be zooming past because of the noise and rattles, but i sure as heck didnt wake up properly, i know some houses round here have sustained damage,, but..im afraid the earth didnt move for me as i slept through it all.even the kids never woke up!The fan in the ceiling in the conservatory is kinda hanging by a thread so i guess i will have to sort that out, pictures on the walls are skewiff, all in all, considering what i have heard, i got off pretty lightly considering the epicentre i believe wasnt too far from here.
